Why did you choose Òùµ´ÉÙ¸¾?
I have an associate degree from Lakeland University Japan, and I received a scholarship from VWU to enroll here. Also, I wanted to major in international studies to become a “bridge” to connect Japan and other countries and LUJ did not have an international studies major.
What were your first impressions of VWU when you arrived on campus?
I found VWU very rich with nature and a small campus. It was easy to get to know students and faculty because of the small population.
What is most different from what you were used to at home?
I am a foodie, so I would say food culture. It was difficult for me to get used to the food here for the first time.
What were some of your biggest challenges in adjusting to college life in another country?
Definitely, not being able to meet my family or friends back home when I am stressed out from the classes.
What have you liked about attending VWU?
I like to be given an equal opportunity to participate in classes, since the number of students in a class is very small compared to other schools.
What advice would you give to other students coming to VWU from another country?
I would encourage them to be open about themselves to other students and faculty because they will help you when you need it.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to build a work career in the United States by using OPT Visa.
